In this season, Joe makes his first appearance.
Joe's next appearance in the season is when he and Bob work at the Snack Stand. Wario and Waluigi ask Joe and Bob if they can by some snacks and Bob announces they are sold out and tells them to leave. ("Real Jobs Suck")
Joe is first seen with Bob at the ticket stand selling tickets to the "Johnny Mushroom and the Kingdoms" concert. Peach tries to convince them she's Mario's girlfriend, but they do not believe her. After they sell the ticket to Peach, Scott Masterson appears and asks them how ticket sales are going. Bob and Joe tell Scott Masterson they have only sold five tickets. Scott responds by reminding Bob and Joe he gets 50% of the profits for each ticket sold. Before Bob and Joe can protest, Scott yells at them, saying they will do as he says and leaves. ("Who is Scott Masterson?")
When Link enters his and Bob's house and takes some food from their fridge, Bob and Joe stop him before he can leave, telling him that stealing from them is a crime in the real world.
Later, Bob and Joe catch Link fishing in their pool and tell him if they see him tress passing on their property one more time they will use their killer ties. Some time afterward, they catch Link watching a Lord of the Rings film in their house and they give him a black eye. ("How it's done in Hyrule!")
When Mario and Luigi come into RMA Productions asking for a second chance at a video game idea, Bob and Joe accept. Unfortunately, after they tell their idea, Bob ends up going on an angry rant yet again. During the rant, Bob kills Terence and Joe asks Bob if he thinks he is overreacting. In response, Bob kills Joe with his killer tie, scaring Mario and Luigi and making them run away in fear while screaming. ("Act I Part 3")
Bob and Joe's relationship is unclear. In the first three episodes they appear in Bob and Joe look like they are business partners and friends. But, in the last episode Joe and Bob appear in it is revealed that Joe and Bob live in the same house. So, it is possible that Bob and Joe are room mates or maybe even brothers.
