Sir Lancelot was Arthur's closest knight and best friend.
Lancelot spent the most time with his king, and was arguably the strongest of the three. He was the knight who avenged the king and killed Mordred with the power of the Holy Grail. As he prepared to take Excalibur and throw it into the water, Lancelot came up with the idea to become king himself. Immediately following, Lancelot slipped and drowned.
